Shine LA at Reseda Park
On Saturday, July 25, 2026, Wish Haus™ founder Nolan Hieu Trifunovic volunteered to document a Shine LA community beautification event at Reseda Park in the San Fernando Valley.
Shine LA is Mayor Karen Bass’s citywide initiative, launched in 2025, that mobilizes residents and communities for neighborhood cleanups, tree planting, and mural/bench painting ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2028 Olympics. The Reseda Park event included litter cleanup, bench painting, a resource fair, a children’s backpack giveaway, live DJ entertainment, indigenous dancers, and raffle prizes.
Mayor Bass was joined by Councilmember Bob Blumenfield (representing Reseda/West Valley) and Jimmy Kim, General Manager of the LA Department of Recreation and Parks, alongside community organizations and residents.
The video was produced pro bono by Trifunovic through his studio, Wish Haus™, reflecting the same volunteer spirit driving the Shine LA movement itself.
